The hockey stars of the past, present and future were at the Paul Sadlon Area in Barrie in full force last night. They all turned up to support the “Boots and Hearts Barn Burner” charity game in support, of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s (RVH) new neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU).

Some famous names turned up in support of this event, they included Toronto Maple Leaf’s captain John Tavares, current players Tyler Seguin, Andrew Mangiapane, Quinton Byfield, Devin Shore and Chris Tierney, and former NHLers Mike Gartner and Gary Roberts. It is a tribute to the hard work put in by the organizers that this event is so high profile
In front of a sell out crowd entertainment was at a premium, and the fans loved it. We loved the red and black plaid shirts; it doesn’t matter who won, they were the best dressed. In the end, the winner was Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s (RVH) new neonatal intensive-care unit. This year’s event raised $155,000 for this local organizations.
