Barrie Baycats Support Shop Local

The Barrie Baycats came to Downtown Barrie to support “Shop Local”. Josh Matlow, president of the Baycats, knows how important we all try and support each other. So in temperatures of -18, the players and staff and their mascot Cool Cat Junior went out their way to brave the cold to show their support.

The Baycats know how important it is to buy local when we can. We put money back into our community by Shopping Local, which helps us all. BIA wants to get the message out: Curb-side pickup, delivery, or a DWNTWN E-Gift Card are all available. During this shutdown, there are many ways to support small businesses in Downtown Barrie! Support Local so we can help businesses that are having a hard time through no fault of their own. These are challenging times for us all, and to get through it, we need to support each other, including our local businesses. So when hopefully we come out of this pandemic, the businesses are still there.

Barrie Uncovered will do what we can to Support Local, as we always have. The BIA works tirelessly to promote downtown, the support of the Barrie Baycats and other community teams, organizations and our wonderful Barrie residents; we can get through this together. There are around 8,000 businesses in Barrie they all need our support, keep Barrie strong. Below are more pictures of the day:
