TGIF: Killed By Cuteness
Let’s be honest…there are worse ways to kickstart the weekend than with a cold beverage.
And yet, it’s easy to fall into a routine of buying the same couple of beers or spirits at your favorite watering hole or the LCBO. Of course, there’s always going to be your standard go-to’s. But mixing it up (get it…mixing???) makes for a fun outing.
With that in mind, we’re taking a shot (bet you thought we would stop with the drinking puns after that first one) at finding you a weekly selection of spirits to liven up your Friday.
This week why don’t your try…
Killer Cupcake Panda – Flying Monkey’s

The initial pour produces a hazy golden colour, generating an almost murky appearance. The head comes in thick and creamy, with lace all the way to the bottom of the glass. Noticeable as well is a healthy amount of floaties, as the beer settles.
As the first aromas hit the senses, this IPA presents a host of creamy smells, with hints of custards in and under. The vanilla infused aroma continues to the first taste, which is bursting with the blended sweet and pastry combination. A bready backbone is present, tying the drink together nicely.
The body establishes on the higher end of the medium-body scale. It comes in as a smooth and creamy contour, with low carbonation.
Overall, this is a sturdy IPA that pops with zest and colour.
Best paired with light fish or shrimp dishes, or with a sticky BBQ offering to balance out the desert type vibes of the drink.
By the numbers:
- ABV 8.3% alc./vol.
- IBU: 37
- Special Additions: Pandan Leaf, Natural Vanilla Custard flavour
