The Social Recap – The Week That Was Feb. 21st

All The Good (And Occasional) Bad of What Went Down in Barrie Last Week

There are three certainties in life…

Death.

Taxes.

Social media.

And if you are tweeting, posting and talking about Barrie on social media, we want to hear from you!

The Social Recap – The Week That Was Feb. 21st

Barrie’s own Mark Smither has piled up a slew of victories on his way to the Canadian super lightweight championship this Saturday, and he came home with the belt. If you haven’t had a chance yet, check out Mark’s story right here!

You’ve seen drone shots of Barrie before. But it’s unlikely you’ve seen one quite like this. The city by the lake gets the Inception treatment, courtesy of @barrie.drone.pilot

Have you been to Friday Harbour this season? In addition to a great skating rink, trails and shops, they boast some terrific art exhibits around the resort.

The days are getting longer, while the ski season is getting shorter. There won’t be too many weekends left to hit the slopes, or enjoy the vistas at places like Horseshoe Valley.

It’s not too often you see Dunlop empty during the day; making this snap from Bohemia all the more rare.

Winter can be brutal, but she is not without her charms…

And finally, we are on the cusp of (almost) getting back to normal, and that includes a return to the clubs. The Alley re-opened this weekend, and if you were there, we hope it was a night you’ll never forget. (Or a night you’ll never remember, if you really let loose)

Thanks for checking out The Social Recap! Keep using the #barrieuncovered hashtag and we may feature your stuff in a future blog!
