Sunflower Fields Near The Barrie Area
Even though the end of July is approaching, there is still a TON of summer left. And late July and early August brings with it another staple of the season: Sunflowers!
A day among these stunning flowers is well worth a road trip. And fortunately, there are several sunflower farms within striking distance of the Barrie area.
So load up the car, make sure your phone is charged for pics, and check out these sunflower farms…
Round’s Ranch
Close to Barrie, Round’s Ranch hosts an annual Sunflower Experience in late July. You can pick your own from the 44 different varieties, and rack up a million cool images with their assortment of unique props for photo backdrops.
Round’s Ranch also boasts a corn maze, a wagon ride, and plenty of other fun things for the younger generation to enjoy, if you want to make a day of it.

Edward’s Farm
Another nearby destination, Edward’s Farm in Innisfil is just starting to see the return of sunflowers.
Besides portraits with the picturesque flowers, you can pick up all manner of farm fresh food and even bird feeders at the on site store.

Dixie Orchards
One of a few in the Caledon area, the fields at Dixie Orchards are filled with trails and fun props set amongst the vivid country landscape.
Furthermore, they can accommodate professional photographers for family portraits, maternity, proposal or engagement photos.

Campbell’s Cross Farm
Also in Caledon, this is a sunflower wellness farm that opens to the public every year for a Sunflower Festival.
Moreover, the farm offers yoga classes, wellness workshops, photography sessions, and other fun activities among their 700,000+ blooming sunflowers.

The Sunflower Farm
With a name like this, it’s a safe bet you’ll find the fields overflowing with the vibrant yellow flowers.
What’s more, there are 20 acres worth of fields to stroll through on your quest for the perfect pic.
In fact, this farm in Beaverton is the largest in the Durham region.
