3 Things To Do This Weekend

The Weekender – Sep. 8th

The Weekender Is Powered by The The Queens Hometown Bar & Grill: The home of live music in Barrie and your destination for great food and great times!

Happening this weekend in the Barrie area…

Geeks of all persuasions will descend on East Bayfield centre this Sunday. Comic Con is back in Barrie, with over 50 vendors on site.

For sale items include comic books, new & vintage toys, DVD’s, anime, manga, prints, and a variety of other awesome genre stuff.

Moreover, there will be plenty of cosplay, and even a chance to sell your own stuff. Hit up their website for more.

Purveyors of the pile driver will be out in force on Saturday.

Back To School 8, hosted by Barrie Wrestling, happens at Ferris Lane Community Church.

You can get tickets online or at the door.

Orillia Fall Fair

The172nd Orillia Fall Fair happens this weekend at ODAS park.

Featuring Truck and Tractor Pulls, Demolition Derby, Inflatables, Livestock displays, Exhibits, Mini Pedal Tractor Pulls, Children’s Farm Olympics, Vendor Market, and more!

Adults $10
Elementary School Students $5
Pre-School free.

Trivia And Tunes @ The Queens

Of course, if you are too impatient for Friday to arrive, you can kick off the weekend early at the Queens tonight and try your hand at trivia.

Beginning at 7, it’s a chance to show off your useless knowledge skills, and earn eternal (or at least nightly) bragging rights as a quiz master.

Likewise, there is plenty of live music through the weekend at the Q.

Further, if you just don’t want the night to end, step over to the club side after 10pm, with DJs on the decks and more drink specials to be had.
